Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife
STREAM Pelvic Care Specialist
Hi there, and welcome to my page. I’m a midwife and bodyworker from South Lake Tahoe, California and now residing on the unceded territory of the Kumeyaay people, San Diego, California. I’ve been in San Diego since 2013 and have settled into city life, though much of my practice still honors the slower pace of life I learned from growing up in the mountains and forest. I’m continuously working on being a safe space for all folks looking for care, whether it’s reproductive healthcare specific to midwifery or those looking for pain management and bodywork. As a midwife, I have made it my career to serve those in their reproductive years with pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and well person care. As a queer midwife, I strive to serve the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to my best ability. Culturally appropriate services can include scar tissue remediation for top surgery, validating and working with trauma through bodywork, or reclaiming the body through discovery and education.
As of 2026, I am accepting interviews for homebirth midwifery care with previous clients only. I am available for prenatal and postpartum visits for folks planning hospital births.
Outside of midwifery care, I’m available for bodywork sessions focused on pain reduction and management, breech body balancing, scar tissue remediation and education, birth preparation, and postpartum healing.
Bodywork
Working with the body is a passion, a calling, and a privilege through which I connect to my community, and myself. The relationship to the body through safe touch is incredibly important. As a bodyworker, I like to stay curious about each individual’s lived experience and relationship with their body. Staying curious and being open to learning in sessions allows me flexibility to match what’s needed or asked for, or offer suggestions or additional referrals. A paradigm I’m working on shifting as a bodyworker is the dynamic between autonomy and authority over the body. Though clients are coming to me for help, support, or relief from pain or discomfort, I don’t know more about their own body than they do. I strive to support folks in taking back their autonomy and become the ultimate authority of their own bodies and feeling well to the best of their ability.
Coming into relationship with someone through bodywork is a vulnerable and beautiful process, of which no two sessions are alike. Chronic stress, anxiety, and fatigue have taken over the modern world, and with it the demand on the nervous system has intensified. The body processes the added stress, which is reflected in misalignment and discomfort. Utilizing stretches, ligament releases, and demonstrating supportive practices to use at home, we work together to bring balance to the body. In pregnancy, imbalance can affect fetal positioning and day to day comfort. Outside of pregnancy, occurrences like persistent jaw tension, constipation, headaches, or scar tissue could impact quality of life. Meeting clients where they’re at without judgment, assumption, or agenda is what I strive to provide through a body balancing session.
I might not be the bodyworker for you if you’re looking for a lovely relaxing massage, nothing is going on in your body, or a friend told you to see me because they felt so good after a session. There are wonderful bodyworkers and massage therapists for you for that sort of experience.
I might be the bodyworker for you if you’re looking for an opportunity to welcome in change. If you know something about your body needs to be listened to or tended to, or if you haven’t found the right momentum but you know you have the tools to support yourself in getting there. I might be the right bodyworker for you if you want to be curious about your body and patterns, and follow that curiosity, validate it, and seek to change what doesn’t serve you.
Midwifery
Starting in 2026, I will only be accepting home birth interviews for previous clients. If I cared for you at any time in a previous pregnancy, I’d be happy to interview with you. If you are not a previous client I’d be happy to point you in the direction of other wonderful midwives in the area. I’m available for individual prenatal and postpartum visits for those seeking a hospital birth and midwifery care.
Holistic reproductive healthcare considers the mental, physical, and social impacts life can have on the body throughout the reproductive lifetime. Visits are shaped around each individual and address nutrition, imbalance or discomfort in the body, and overall health and wellness. Preventative healthcare and wellness looks at a person as a whole, where you and your provider come up with a plan to improve or support your quality of health. Midwifery care in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is raw and intimate. Deep relationships are formed to support trust and safety in a person’s ability to birth, regardless of how or where a birth occurs. Bodywork is weaved into care, visits are paced along with the nervous system, and care is extended long after the fourth trimester.
My personal practice of midwifery values bodywork and relationships equally with counseling and compassion. If I view health as a process as well as a lived experience, I can work collaboratively with those I’m supporting. I’m committed to my work and the people I serve, and I’m humbled and honored to call myself a community midwife. I look forward to connecting with individuals and families to provide a rewarding and embodied experience.
